TORREVIEJA STROKE SUPPORT GROUP
The new season will recommence on 3rd September, in The Annex, Calle Paganini s/n, Urb. La Siesta,

Torrevieja.  The Group is looking for further volunteers, and anyone who is interested or has

experience of stroke matters would be most welcome to attend an information briefing to be arranged in

early September.

EASY HORSE CARE RESCUE CENTRE
We have a calendar of music events planned for the summer. Music nights take place in the relaxed

atmosphere of the centres garden where you can listen to live music, enjoy food from the BBQ and drinks

from the bar. All proceeds go towards helping the rescue centre to continue its good work. See

PAUL CUNNINGHAM NURSES
The Paul Cunningham Nurses are hosting an evening of Clairvoyance with well known medium David

Darnbrough on Thursday 26th August at Los Arcos Restaurant in Torrevieja.  Doors open at 7pm for a

7.30pm start, and finishes at approx. 9.30. During the interval a raffle will be held with all proceeds

PALS (PROTECTION AND LIFE SAVING)
PALS is Mazarrons oldest registered expat charity and have announced the next event to be the PALS

Masked Ball, which will be held in the open air on the new Puerto de Mazarron marina on 2nd September.

EXPATS 4 AFGHAN HEROES
On 3rd and 4th September, a Mega Raffle will be held in La Marina for  4 Afghan Heroes Loads of prizes

can be won including gold, emerald and diamond earrings, show tickets for Benidorm Palace, a DVD

Player, meals for 2 and lots more.  Raffle tickets 3 for 5 Euros are on sale on the day and at selected

venues to be announced. The draw will take place at 4pm on Saturday 4th.

Expats 4 Afghan Heroes are holding a competition to Win 2 night’s half board for 2 people at the

Rosamar Hotel in Benidorm PLUS day and evening entertainment! The prize is available during October

2010. Included in the prize are daytime line dancing classes and both evening’s entertainment plus 50€

every third Friday of the month in an informal Group for those affected by cancer. Relaxed and friendly

THE STRICTLY SOCIAL CLUB
The "Strictly Social Club" are a friendly and informative club with over 100 members. The main aim is

TORREVIEJA COSTA LIONS
The Mad Hatters Old English Tea Party takes place on Sunday 26th September between 3pm till 6.30pm in

the grounds of Casa La Pedrera in Torremendo. All funds raised are going to APANEE, the disabled

children’s charity in Torrevieja. There will be plenty of tea and cakes, a mad hat competition, Games

THE SPANGLES
On 30 September and 1 October, The Spangles are appearing with guest tributes The Jersey Boys,

Showaddywaddy, Freddie Mercury and Elton John at the CISSMU/Biblioteca, Los Narejos, Los Alcázares.

Tickets are almost sold out for 1 October, so you need to book as soon as possible not to miss this

show. The whole show is great value for money at just 8 € a ticket. It's to raise funds for new risers

for Spangles. Risers are what we stand on to sing and we've grown so much that we need to raise over

COMMUNITY AMBULANCE FUND ESPAÑA (CAFE)
CAFE CONCERT 4 will be held on Saturday 2nd October at the Bahia Hotel in Puerto de Mazzarron. This is

a six artiste, 4 bands and two soloists, event with 6 hours of back to back music, including a fashion

show. CAFE aim to raise some 60,000 Euros by various methods and this is the largest expat Musical show

in the Mazarron area. the Artistes, in no particular order, are A La Mode, Christine, Lennie Mitchell,

The Little Rock Band, Zoe Barnes & Friends and Back water. The Hotel are offering special rates for you

to stay the night at 50 Euros including breakfast. Standard tickets cost just 5 Euros. For more
